Since their founding in 2020, Akron-based Klutch Cannabis has been a major player in the Ohio medical cannabis market, providing patients with cannabis across all major product categories. Klutch Cannabis totaled $13.6MM in sales for January – April 2024.
Buckeye Relief
Founded in Ohio in 2017, Buckeye Relief stands out in the state’s medical cannabis landscape, offering a diverse range of high-quality products within the medical cannabis program. The brand provides diverse a selection of products, including various strains of flower, extracts, and edible formulations. Buckeye Relief brought in $10.4MM in medical sales in the first four months of 2024.
Certified Cultivators
A family-owned and operated brand based out of Dayton Ohio, Certified Cultivators has had a strong presence in the Ohio market since their founding in 2020. The brand offers a broad variety of flower, vape, extract and edible products. The brand totaled $9.9MM in medical sales for January – April 2024.
Butterfly Effect
The flagship brand of GrowOH, Butterfly Effect was the first brand to have products available for purchase under Ohio’s Medical Marijuana Control Program. The brand brought in $9.8MM in sales for January through April 2024.
Riviera Creek
With a product portfolio including flower, vape products, and a variety of solventless extracts, Youngstown-based Riviera Creek was the number five best-selling Ohio brand in Q3 2023. Riviera Creek brought in a sales total of $7.9MM in the first four months of 2024.
Medical sales in Ohio totaled $485MM in 2023. With the passage of Adult-Use, Ohio emerges as one of the nation’s fastest-growing markets. BDSA forecasts a $575 million sales increase in 2025, projecting the total legal market to hit $1.06B in 2025 and $2.08 billion in 2027.
