New West Summit – Here Comes the Data!

Dispensaries have come a long way since Colorado opened its first recreational cannabis shop in January of 2014. Back then, the vast majority of sales were flower, and shop interiors often felt more like pawn shops than retail oases.

Things have changed dramatically.

A wild diversity of professionally branded products now line shelves — everything from chocolate bars to containers of shatter. Lighting is strategic and pleasing. Layouts make sense.

And competition has grown fierce between dispensaries and brands as the retail environment has matured and the industry has expanded.

Nobody better understands retail trends shaping the cannabis industry than BDS Analytics. If you are attending the New West Summit this weekend and care about retail trends, then the workshop “Head Shop Revolution: The Modern Dispensary and Retail Shop” is a must. The panel takes place Saturday, October 14 at 11 a.m. in the East Hall, Room 1.

Hosting the workshop is BDS’s founder and CEO, Roy Bingham, who will offer both 30,000-foot views of broad retail trends as well as granular looks at market segments.

“I am delighted to be hosting such a star-studded panel of dispensary owners and cannabis consumer experts,” said Roy.

Panelist include:
